You verify your business once. You are asked each thing one time. The same answers switch on online payments and earn the Verified by Tejas tick (coming soon) on your shop's page.

Two results #

  • Payments. The payment company decides whether it can pay your bank account.
  • Verified by Tejas. Matih decides. Customers see the tick on your shop's page.

The steps #

Open Billing, then Verify your business. There are seven steps. Each step saves. You can stop and come back.

  1. Business. Type your business PAN and tick the consent line. Tejas finds the GSTIN linked to it, and for a company the company number. You confirm them.
  2. Signatory. Pick the person who signs for the business. Then tap Fetch with DigiLocker, or Upload instead.
  3. Owners. List everyone who owns 10% or more, with their PAN. Or say nobody does.
  4. Address. Pick your place of business from the addresses Tejas found. Drop a pin on the map and take a photo of your shopfront at the place.
  5. Documents. Add the papers for your kind of business, such as the company's articles or the partnership deed.
  6. Bank. Type your account number and IFSC. Tejas shows the bank and branch for you to confirm.
  7. Done. Wait a minute while Tejas checks. It usually takes less than a minute.

Steps that do not apply to your kind of business are hidden.

What we fill in for you #

  • Your GST number and company number. Tejas finds them from your business PAN.
  • Your directors, address and legal name. Fetched from the government records, for you to confirm.
  • Your documents. Fetched from DigiLocker where it holds them.

Your PAN, your bank account, who signs for the business and every consent come only from you.

Defaults #

  • Only the steps that fit your kind of business are shown.
  • Fetch with DigiLocker comes before Upload instead.
  • The steps save as you go, so you can stop and finish later.

Change them under Advanced before connecting. For example, you can upload a paper instead of fetching it, or give a different business address.

Steps #

  1. Open Billing, then Verify your business.
  2. Type your business PAN and tick the consent line.
  3. Confirm what Tejas found.
  4. Tap Fetch with DigiLocker where it is offered.

Each step is one or two taps, and the whole thing takes about 15 minutes with your papers at hand. The full list of steps is above.

If a check cannot decide #

Tejas never blocks you with an error. The step says "We need a person to look at this". A person at Matih reviews it. Everything else keeps working.

Your private details #

Tejas shows your PAN and bank account hidden, such as ABC••••34F. Aadhaar details are masked. Only the people who need them see them.
