Bring items in from Instagram

Turn your Instagram posts into catalog items. You check every item before it goes live.

If you already show your products on Instagram, you do not need to type them again. Tejas reads your posts and drafts the items.

What we fill in for you #

• Your shop's logo and About line. From your Instagram profile photo and bio.
• Items. Tejas drafts one item per product from your captions and photos: name, price, sizes, category and suggested tax.
• Your hours and delivery. From Tejas, not from your bio.

You do not type your items again.

Defaults #

• You connect your Instagram account. You do not need to upload anything. Tejas can only read your posts. It never posts, replies or reads your messages.
• Tejas looks for new posts every few hours.
• Every draft waits for your yes. Nothing goes live until you accept it.

If you would rather not connect, you can upload your Instagram download instead, for one time only. You can also choose which posts to read and the date range. Change them under Advanced before connecting.

Steps #

1. Open Website and integrations, then Instagram.
2. Tap Connect, and sign in to Instagram.
3. Pick your posts and tap Read.
4. Check the table. For each item tap Accept.

Steps 2 to 4 are three taps and then one tap for each item. The next section shows the same steps in more detail.

Import your posts #

1. Open Website and integrations, then Instagram.
2. Connect your Instagram account, or upload your posts.
3. Pick the posts you want. They show newest first, 25 at a time. You can filter for posts with a price, posts not yet imported, and a date range. A post already in Tejas says "In Tejas".
4. Tap Read. Tejas reads each caption and photo and drafts one item per product.
5. Check the table. Each row shows the draft beside the post's own words. For each row tap Accept, Edit, Skip or Attach to existing.
6. Accepted items go live after you accept them.

Prices come from you #

Tejas takes a price only when a number in the caption, or in the photo, says so. A post with no price makes a draft that waits. You type the price, and then you can accept it.

If the same product is already in your catalog, Tejas attaches the new photo to it. You do not get a second item. An offer such as "10% off on sweets till Monday" goes to Offers, not to the catalog.

New posts #

After the first import, Tejas looks for new posts every few hours. They wait at the top of the Instagram page with a draft ready. Tap Add to say yes. Nothing goes live without your tap in Assisted mode.

In Autopilot, a post with a clear name and price is added by itself. Every other post waits for you. Autopilot never changes a price you already have. Each add can be removed with one tap for 7 days.

Your website's look #

The same connection can suggest a logo, an About line and three colour sets for your website. Each is one tap to try, and each can be undone. Nothing goes live until you tap Publish in the theme editor. See Your shop's website.
