Help / Run your shop
Your catalog
Add items, set prices and stock, and keep your catalog the same as your books.
In the app: Catalog, Catalog, Import
Your catalog is the list of everything you sell. Every door into your shop reads from it, so you change an item in one place. Your website (coming soon), your WhatsApp shop (coming soon) and your chatbot (coming soon) will read from it too.
Add items #
You have three ways to add items:
- Photo or voice (coming soon). Take a photo of your shelf or of a supplier bill, or say the item and its price. Tejas drafts the items. You check each one.
- Your books. Connect Tally or Marg, or Setu (coming soon). Your items, prices and stock come from there.
- Instagram (coming soon). Bring in your posts. Tejas will draft one item for each product it finds.
A new item needs its HSN code and tax rate before it can go live. Tejas suggests both. Your yes on the row covers the suggestion.
Prices and stock #
- Change a price or stock on the item, or in your books if you use Tally, Marg or Setu. Tejas keeps the books' price and tells you when a price differs.
- Tejas never makes up a price. A draft with no price waits until you type one.
- An item that is out of stock cannot be ordered. Stock counts go down as orders come in.
Names in your language #
Customers find items by the words they use. "Atta", "आटा" and "aata" all reach the same item. You can write an item's name in the languages your customers use.
Who can change the catalog #
Owners can change everything. Staff see the catalog, and can change it only when their role allows (coming soon). See Staff and roles.
