Your shop's website

Your shop gets a web address on day one. Change its look, and connect your own domain when you want one.

Every shop gets a website on day one, free. Its address is tejas.matih.ai/ and your shop's handle, for example tejas.matih.ai/sharma-kirana. You choose the handle. It is yours alone: if someone has it, Tejas suggests three free ones.

Change the look #

  1. Open Website, then Theme.
  2. Change your logo, colours and the About line. Tejas shows a preview.
  3. Tap Publish when you like it. Nothing changes for customers before that.

Tejas checks that text is easy to read on your colours and that the page loads fast. If a change fails a check, Tejas tells you why.

Change your handle #

You can change your handle. The old address sends people to the new one for good, and no other shop can take it, so QR codes and links you shared keep working.

Before your shop is live you can send a private preview link. It shows a Preview banner, is hidden from Google and takes no orders. Customers always get your handle address, never the preview link.

Use your own domain #

The Website page has three tabs: Search, Buy and I have one.

  • Search looks for a new name and shows the registrar's price.
  • Buy buys the name. You pay only the registrar's price, with no extra charge from Matih. Tejas sets up the rest.
  • I have one is for a domain you already own. Tejas shows one record to add at your registrar. You can send these steps to your domain person on WhatsApp. The page shows a live status such as "Waiting for your domain to point here".

When your own domain is live, it becomes your main address. Your other address sends people to it. Google then ranks one site, not two.

What we fill in for you #

  • Your handle address. Made from your shop's name, free, on day one.
  • The records to add. Tejas reads your domain's current settings and shows only what must change. It never touches your email records.
  • The wait. Tejas checks every few minutes and tells you when your domain points to your shop.

Defaults #

  • Your shop stays on tejas.matih.ai and your handle until you connect a domain of your own.
  • When your own domain is live, it becomes your main address and your other address sends people to it.
  • A domain you buy in Tejas is set up for you. You pay only the registrar's price.

Change them under Advanced before connecting, for example to keep your handle address as the main one or to see every record step.

Steps #

  1. Open Website, then the I have one tab, or the Buy tab if you need a new name.
  2. Tap Send these steps to my domain person. Tejas sends them on WhatsApp. Or ask Matih to do it with you on a call.
  3. Watch the status. It says "Waiting for your domain to point here" until it is done.

Pages Tejas writes for you #

Refund, shipping, privacy and terms pages are written from your settings. They carry your name, address and grievance officer, as the law asks. Item pages show a preview picture when someone shares a link on WhatsApp.
