Help / Get started
Start your shop
Sign in, set up your shop and take your first order, the same day, from your phone.
In the app: First day
You can open your shop in one day. You do it from your phone. Every step can wait: skip it and finish it later.
Open Tejas and tap Sign in. Use your Matih account. If you are new, you make one in a minute.
Set up your shop in five steps #
- The shop. Type the shop's name, pick your kind of business and say where you are. Tejas suggests a web address, your handle, from the name (coming soon). You can change it, and it must be free. For example, Sharma Kirana in Kothrud, Pune becomes
tejas.matih.ai/sharma-kirana. - Tax. (coming soon) Do you have a GSTIN? Choose Yes, No or Composition. This one answer decides what your customers get: a tax invoice, or a bill of supply.
- Payments. Customers can pay by UPI and cards. You add your bank account and finish KYC inside Tejas. Cash on delivery is on from the start. See Take payments.
- Items. Add items by connecting Tally or Marg, by a photo of your shelf or a bill, or by voice (coming soon). You can also connect Setu (coming soon) or bring items in from Instagram (coming soon).
- Share. Tejas gives you a QR poster to print for the counter, your link (coming soon) and a ready WhatsApp message for your regular customers (coming soon).
Your shop starts in Assisted mode #
In Assisted mode, ordinary orders confirm by themselves. You see only the orders that need a person. Read more in Orders and Autopilot.
Take your first order #
- Send your link to yourself on WhatsApp and open it (coming soon).
- Pick an item, add it to the cart and place the order, as a customer would.
- Open Orders. Your order shows there.
- Confirm it, pack it and mark it fulfilled.
Now you know what your customers see. Send the link to your regular customers next.
If a step stalls #
Matih support sees how far each new shop has got. If you stop at a step, we reach out to help. You do not need to ask.
